In late July we officially formalised our occupancy at the Yack Shack. Yack Women's' Shed Coordinator , Chrissie Zerbst signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Yack Men's Shed President, Graeme Neil, to set out the terms and conditions of our shared space. This is a watershed moment for our organisation and the result of a lot of hard work by our committee members to bring off. Congratulations to all involved for bringing this off!

Our Textiles Tribe has spent some of their sessions working on a heap of bibs, burp cloths and beanies to donate to local Wodonga charity Tots2Teens which supports children in our wider community who are facing trauma. Well done ladies!!

July 2 saw 16 of our members participate in a hands on workshop that introduced them to the ancient quilting practice of Kawandi. Local sewist, Denise Maybury, shared her knowledge and skills in this ancient method of creating a patchwork quilt using leftover fabrics that are repurposed into beautiful pieces.
