Festival Fun

Much fun was had through our involvement in the Yackandandah Folk Festival Street Parade. This year's theme was Mary Blair, an American artist and animator who did many of the designs for the early Disney films. Our Tuesdays at the Shack became costume preparation sessions, where op shop purchases and fabrics from our stash were turned into amazing costumes worn by our members and Men's Shed members. And our very own Lynne Davies did an amazing job on decorating two castles in Mary Blair style. Our wicked witch did a brilliant job of scaring children and dogs!! And everyone else, from Fairy Godmothers, Cinderellas, witches and puss in boots looked brilliant! It's great to be part of this important and fun community event.
