What a fabulous day! Yackandandah put on one of its best. The sun shone, but not too hotly. The Memorial Park was beautiful, and packed with over 20 stalls of local producers, craftspeople and community organisations. Children were entertained with face painting, 'fishing' and making wooden toys with the Men's Shed. Adults browsed the beautiful stalls and spent their money on lovely gifts. And our community groups spread their messages. There was a steady stream of people throughout the day, keeping stall holders busy.
Our own stall did a brisk trade, and we raised over $2000 on the day.
A big thank you to the members of the Fair Sub-Committee who worked hard in the weeks leading up to the Fair recruiting stall holders, dealing with bureaucracy, putting together the raffle prizes from our stall holders and negotiating with local traders to support our special raffle. Special mention to Chris, Margo, Trish, Sharon, Helen, Lynne, Robyn, Barb for their organisational skills.
Special thanks to the market stall holders for their generous donations towards our raffle prizes - plus an extra prize was donated by Marobe Cakes!
