Last year the Yackandandah Women's Shed was asked to take on the organisation of the Christmas Fair, which had been put on hold for couple of years due to the ongoing pandemic. We did, and it was a stupendous success. As a result of this success, we've been asked to organise the Fair again. A big part of our work for the Fair is the Women's Shed stall where we sell things we have made. But this means we have to make some stuff so we can sell it! So at our fortnightly meet ups we are currently making some Christmas themed items that we will sell at our stall. So far, we have painted terracotta pots, decorated polystyrene cones as Christmas trees, made Christmas stockings and made Christmas angels. Over coming weeks we will tackle more crafty ideas. If you have any ideas about things we can make to sell on our stall come along to our next meet up and show us how! Our last meet up was highly productive with two new members joining existing members on a sewing and crafting bee!
