The birds have never been happier!

The Using Tools workshops were completed in March. Two groups of ladies, 14 in total, built either a large bird box (suitable for a sugar glider, or parrot) or a smaller one suitable for a pardalote. We learned to use hand saws, power saws, drills, screw drivers and clamps. While some of these were not new to us, there were some very handy techniques that made the use of these tools more efficient and accurate. Thanks to the three volunteers, Steve, Neil & Ray from the Men's Shed who guided us through the use of hand and power tools. The birds of Yackandandah will be very happy with their new homes.
