The Women's Shed made an important contribution to the wonderful Yack Streetfest on 17 February. Not only did we have an amazing stand that showcased the work of the Women's Shed over the last 12 months and more, but we also ran the very important Gundowring Ice Cream Trike! The lucky people of Yackandandah were spoiled for choice with five different flavours to choose from. Things got pretty hectic pretty quickly and it didn't take too long for over 400 ice creams to be handed out to children of all ages. And how delicious is that Gundowring ice cream? A huge thanks to the company for their generous provision of the ice creams.
But wait, there's more? Indeed there is. The Women's Shed also provided prizes for the children who played the games as part of the children's entertainment.
It is so good to be able to participate in these community events and support the people of our beautiful little town. A big thanks to Margo for all her work and to all the members who helped out on the day!
